These are a few of my favorite things.....

There are a few things that I am so into right now, so I thought I would do a post on them.

YouTube Makeup Gurus
Kelly and I have been watching videos and tutorials on makeup and cosmetics. They are so much fun! MakeupbyTiffanyD is by far our favorite, but I enjoy watching several others as well! Tiffany has such good taste and technique, so I learn a lot from her. We even tweet each other sometimes. We are totally gonna be BFFFF's. :)
I have a brand new vanity made out of my old school desk from home and a cheap lighted mirror. I love to sit there and play with make-up while Brandon plays cards next to me.

Micheal Buble
His voice is soooo amazing. I love his new album! I listen to it over and over and over. I love "All of Me", "Hold On" and "All I Do Is Dream of You". On the last week of So You Think You Can Dance, they did an AMAZING number to "At This Moment". Anyways, it just brings a smile to my face everytime I get into the car.

New Moon, and the soundtrack
Have you seen New Moon? If you haven't you should. You should also download the soundtrack. There isn't a bad song on it. I can't say enough about how much I love the movie and the music! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

Brandi Carlisle's "The Heartache Can Wait"
Awesome Christmas-y song, featured on Grey's Anatomy christmas episode! It's a little sad, but her voice is so beautiful, and she is so talented! This is her second song that has been on Grey's.

Tiffany's
Ok, so I love Tiffany's all the time, but I'm loving it even more and more. They came out with their new "Tiffany Keys" collection in Spring 2009, and I have been coveting them every since. I almost got one for my birthday, but since I wanted an anniversary ring, I decided to wait. Now, EVERYONE has their version of the keys. Of course, Tiffany's does it the best! I'm getting one soon even if I have to sell my left arm on Ebay to pay for it. Ok, so really I'm just deep cleaning out my closet to pay for it. :)

A few more things:
I'm loving being able to hang out with Brandon when he gets off work and on the weekends without feeling like I should be studying! I'm also still loving GLEE! It's my new favorite show, and I can't wait until it comes back on!

Also, I've become obsessed with watching QVC. It all started when I was trying to study, so I needed some background noise. At first I wasn't interested in anything they were selling, but then came Isaac Mizrahi, Philosphy, and Bare Escentuals! I'm trying to wean myself off so I am not tempted to spend my key fund.

GLEE!

I have found a new favorite show! I'm losing interest in a few of my other shows- due to poor writing and ridiculousness (ahem, Grey's Anatomy). I still love Gossip Girl, but it's dark and moody and Glee! is super happy and musical. I've downloaded several songs from the soundtrack, and I listen to them almost every day while I'm getting ready. Loving it! If you haven't seen it, you should definitely check it out- it's the next big thing!

My perfect Halloween nail polish combo!

I spent 30 minutes last night trying to come up with a fun combination of colors and patterns to paint my nails for Halloween. Nothing worked, it was all to young, or sloppy, or too boring! My sister and I went to run a few errands today, and I saw a clearance bin of OPI nail polish. In it, I found "Goin' Ape-Ricot", a bright sheer orange with loads of orange sparkles! As soon as I got home, I paired it over a basic black nail polish, and Whah-lah! I was satisfied! They look dark with just a little orange sparkle when it hits the light. Spooky!

It's Been a Whole Year!

Yesterday, October 18th 2009, was our 1 year anniversary! It's definitely flown by! I really thought a lot about how lucky I am to have such a wonderful husband. He does SO much for me. He works fifty hours a week for a crummy paycheck so that I can go to school, he cooks, helps me clean, does the dishes, etc. But most importantly, he makes me so happy, and I don't know what I would do without him. So enough of the cheesiness- on to the good stuff! For our anniversary, I got a Tiffany anniversary ring (YAY!) and tickets to see Brian Regan, who is my favorite comedian. If you haven't heard of him, you should definitely look him up.

Brandon got a motorcycle.. which was part of his birthday present also.

So, my ring is gorgeous, I get a wonderful night out, and I have a loving husband and happy marriage.
What more could I want?.....
Ok nevermind that .......What more could I NEED?...

........Absolutely Nothing. :)

LUSH! Halloween Collection 2009

Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a fanatic about all holidays, especially Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Something about this time of year is so fun to me! I love to decorate, watch the holiday movies, listen to the music, and enjoy everything that reminds me that it's the holiday season. So, when I saw that LUSH had a new Halloween collection, I was ALL OVER IT! I purchased several things from the collection, and I am in love! These things just make me so happy. I look forward to using them while taking a bath and relaxing at night after a long day of studying or a hard test.
Pictured above are Ghost Shower Gel and The Great Pumpkin soap, which are so amazing! I really enjoy spicy scents- so The Great Pumpkin soap is a must have. The main scent is Ghost is lily, which isn't something I would normally gravitate towards, but something about it really is... Haunting. :)
I can't wait to purchase some of the Christmas products!

Picture Gallery: Fall is Finally Here!

Being that one of my favorite things is celebrating the different seasons, when my husband and I moved in the spring I decided to do a wall gallery of spring inspired pictures. I'm not anything close to a professional photographer, but I do enjoy taking pictures. So, I went around town taking pictures of flowers and anything that made me happy when I thought of spring. Here is the result:
Please note that this was taken before I straightened the frames. :)
So, as soon as September came I was jumping to get some new pictures in my frames for fall. I found that I didn't have as many wonderful pictures as I had hoped, and I can't take pictures from this season yet because our leaves haven't turned. Once they do change I'll go down to the river and try to improve this a bit.
I tried to do mostly landscapes and natural subjects, but due to my lack of choices, I put one of my dog, Phoebe, in front of pumpkins. I'll change it once I get some more pictures, even though it is awfully cute!

New Moon Excitement!

I'm sure you Twilighters already have watched it at least 15 times. But for the rest of you either non-fans or non-obsessive fans, the newest New Moon trailer was released today with a longer version showing on MTV's VMA's tonight. I honestly don't know how I can bear to wait over two more months! I can already tell that New Moon is going to blow Twilight out of the water. The scenes in Italy during the parade look fantastic and exciting! The sea of red, Bella running through the fountain, and Edward stepping out with his shirt off- it all looks so intense! It looks like they added a few things in the scene where they face Aro and the Volturi. That should be interesting. What did you guys think?

And for all you non-fans out there, don't knock it until you've tried it. Seriously, it will change your life. :)

My newest addiction: LUSH Cosmetics!

As I was supposed to be studying for my huge test coming up, I was actually watching one of my favorite YouTube Gurus, Glimmer.Gloss.Glow.  She was reviewing several of her newest handmade soaps, and I got the sudden urge to visit my local LUSH store. Even though some of the things seemed a little pricey for one time use, many are well worth the splurge when you need some relaxation! I picked up a Ma Ta Bubble Bar, which was most enjoyable, and an Each Peach Massage Bar, which was a very special treat.

The massage bar left my skin feeling ultra smooth and soft with a subtle, sweet scent my husband loved! Of course, I had to check out the website for more fabulous things I have never had the privilege to try.  Some of the things I'm thinking of getting soon are some type of shampoo, conditioner, Shave the Planet Shaving Cream, and maybe (if I am brave enough) a Henna Hair Dye. Anyone ever tried these? Which are your favorites?
